Thorel Chips Up, But Kempe Wins the Big Ones
Level 23
: 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
After Rainer Kempe took the lead, Jean-Noel Thorel won a series of pots to put him back in the lead, but just now the German got back on top.
Thorel raised to 400,000 from the button after which Kempe called from the big blind. The flop came down and Kempe check-called a bet of 500,000.
On the turn the hit and Kempe checked again. Thorel quickly fired out 1 million, and Kempe went into the tank for several minutes.
"I'm all in," Kempe then announced, and Thorel folded rather quickly to give Kempe the lead again.
