An Ace from Space for the Russian
Level 15
: 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Jens Lakemeier opened for 7,500 only to have Javier Gomez, who is fresh off a victory in the World Poker Tour Prague, three-bet to 18,000 from the cutoff. Simon Persson then four-bet to 44,000 from the button and Russia's Mikhail Rudoy called off for 11,300 from the big blind.
Lakemeier thought for a few moments before moving all in for nearly 300,000, and Persson, who started the day on a big stack but has been stuck in reverse, released his hand.
Lakemeier:
Rudoy:
Rudoy's best chance at staying alive was to catch an ace, but he didn't do it on the flop nor the turn. Rudoy had one last pull at it, and amazingly he hit it when the spiked on the river to keep his EPT12 Prague Main Event hopes alive!
