Behzad Ahadpour opened the hijack for 8,000 and big blind Dario Sammartino called. Both checked the flop of and the hit the turn. Sammartino lead out for 15,000 with about 80,000 behind and Ahadpour raised to 30,000.
As Sammartino thought about it for a bit, Ahadpour asked if Sammartino had a flush. The latter declined: "Flush is nuts" Sammartino said, making clear he wasn't thinking about folding a flush.
"One pair is no good" Ahadpour said with a mysterious smile if we heard him correctly.
Sammartino went with it anyway and got his chips in. Ahadpour called with and had Sammartino drawing dead as he tabled . The river was of no importance anymore, exit for the flamboyant Italian player.
