Cristian Egues Eliminated in 5th Place (99,870)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Cristian Egues
Cristian Egues

Cristian Egues has definitely made a name for himself in this 10,300 High Roller final, but he has just been send to the rail by Pierre Neuville in the most classic of coinflips.

Pierre Neuville opened to 135,000 from under the gun and Cristian Egues shoved all in for 1,045,000 fro the button. The blinds quickly folded, and Neuville didn't take too many seconds before making the call.

Pierre Neuville: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Cristian Egues: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

It was all in the hands of the dealer now, and when the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} it was adis Egues.

This was also a welcome elimination for Theo Jorgensen, who just made another pay jump despite having been the shortest stack at the table for quite some time. The remaining four players are now guaranteed 124,330.

Jedlicka Takes One More From Neuville

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Pierre Neuville opened to 110,000 from under the gun and only Jedlicka in the very next seat made the call.

The players checked through the {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, before Neuville came out swinging for 150,000 on the {7-Spades} turn. Jedlicka snapped off the call.

The river was the {K-Clubs} and prompted two more checks, and Jedlicka won the pot with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} against the unimproved {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} of Neuville.

The Sixes Like Kane

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand 1

Theo Jorgensen raised to 150,000 and Michael Kane moved all in from the big blind, Jorgensen called for less.

Theo Jorgensen: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Michael Kane: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} and fellow Scots Niall Farrell as well as Ludovic Geilich walked over to see what happened to their countryman. "We don't want a six," Kane said and the {Q-Spades} appeared on the turn. "Okay, now we want a six," Kane said and sure enough the {6-Hearts} fell on the river to chop it up.

Hand 2

Stefan Jedlicka raised to 120,000 from the cutoff and Kane shoved for 525,000 in the big blind, Jedlicka called.

Michael Kane: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Stefan Jedlicka: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

"Now we don't want sixes," Kane said and the board ran out blank with {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to let Kane double.

Hand 3

Pierre Neuville limped in from the small blind and Jedlicka checked the big blind. The {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and {8-Clubs} turn went check, check. Neuville then won the pot uncontested by betting the {3-Hearts} river for 100,000.

Hand 4

Jorgensen shoved to claim the blinds and antes.

Neuville's Aces Holds Up Against Egues

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Pierre Neuville is really running the table right now and is opening a ton of hands from every position. He just raised {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} from small blind into Stefan Jedlicka, but Jedlicka ended up taking it down with {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} against Neuvilles {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} on a {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades} board.

The very next hand Neuville opened once again, this time from the button, and Egues defended his big blind.

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Egues came out firing with a bet of 100,000. Neuville called.

The turn was {5-Clubs}, Egues checked this time around, Neuville bet 225,000 and Egues called quickly.

The {K-Diamonds} rolled off on the river, and once again Egues took the lead for 265,000. Neuville called instantly, and Egues flashed {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for nothing but ten-high. Neuville showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, and with that pot the Belgian is back over 2 million chips.

Neuville Losing Some More

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand 1

Stefan Jedlicka raised to 80,000 from under the gun and Pierre Neuville called in the big blind. On the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Neuville check-folded to a bet worth 90,000.

Hand 2

Theo Jorgensen raised to 120,000 from the button and claimed the blinds and antes.

Hand 3

Neuville raised to 105,000 from the button and Cristian Egues called in the big blind. The duo checked down the board of {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} entirely and Egues won the pot with {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a pair of threes.

Egues Shoves In the Dark; Gets Counterfeited

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Cristian Egues
Cristian Egues

Pierre Neuville made it 105,000 to go from the cutoff and both Cristian Egues in the small blind and Michael Kane in the big blind made the call.

Flop came down {5-Spades}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and when checked to Neuville followed up with a bet of 160,000. Egues had another number in mind and raised to 465,000, Kane quickly folded and after having a piece of cucumber from a nearby tray, Neuville committed the chips.

Even before the dealer burned and turned, Egues had put his remaining 600,000 over the line: "All in without looking at the turn", he said.

The {10-Clubs} rolled off on the turn, and Neuville stopped his dining to think it through. In the end his cards made the muck, much to the relief of Egues, who showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the counterfeited two pair.

"I knew the turn would be a bad card for me, that's why I jammed", he explained to the table after the hand.
