Third Time is Not the Charm for Thiry
Level 8
: 500/1,000, 100 ante
Good cards are a blessing, but not connecting with the board can make them quite a burden, as Luxembourg's Christian Thiry just experienced.
Mikalai Vaskaboinikau opened to 2,500 preflop and Adrian Mateos called on the button, before Thiry shipped his remaining 18,200 from the small blind. Vaskaboinikau came over the top all-in, and Mateos quickly folded his hand.
Thiry was trailing with against Vaskaboinikau's kings, and despite a queen on the flop it wasn't enough to win Thiry the pot.
"That's the third hand in a row I've gotten that hand", Thiry proclaimed before leaving the table and heading out of the playing area.
