50,000 Single Day No Limit Hold'em Event Kicks-Off at 12:30 PM

After yesterday saw the 100,000 Super High Roller event come to its conclusion with Mikita Badziakouski defeating Ahadpur Khangah heads-up for the 1,650,300 first-place prize, another High Roller event will begin today with the player's given a chance to try their luck in the PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona 50,000 Single Day event.

The action is scheduled to get underway at 12:30 pm at the Casino Barcelona with the best-of-the-best set to do battle once more.

The High Roller events have been hugely popular in Barcelona so far with the likes of Timothy Adams, Sam Greenwood, Cary Katz, Bryn Kenney, Stephen Chidwick, David Peters, Patrik Antonius, Nick Petrangelo and Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu all in action.

Michael Soyza took down the 10,300 High Roller earlier this week for a payday worth 302,500 and would be expected to be among the field again today.

The tournament will play out over 30-minute levels with a starting stack worth 100,000 and blinds beginning at 500/1000/1000. There will be a 20-minute break after every five levels and a 75-minute dinner break at the end of level 16 (approx. 9 pm).

PokerNews will be bringing you all the action from the day as the biggest names in poker go head-to-head to be crowned champion.
