The 2019 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo?Casino EPT is ready to open its doors to poker players from all over the world, and what better way to get it started than with the 10,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller. The action is ready to unfold inside the Monte Carlo Bay Resort and Casino and a champion will be crowned after three days of hard-fought poker.
Last year, Bryn Kenney was victorious in this same tournament which was featured at the end of the festival. With the tournament kicking things off this year, it will be a welcome surprise to see who shows up and takes their seats. There were a total of 50 players including 10 re-entries which allowed Kenney to walk away with 153,000.
The action will get underway at 6 p.m. local time and each player will receive a starting stack of 50,000 chips. The blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 100 big blind ante and will increase every 40 minutes. It is expected to be a short opening day for the high rollers with only eight levels on the schedule, including two 20-minute breaks.
A single re-entry option is available to those that are eliminated in the early going. Late registration will remain open until the start of Day 2 at 12:30 p.m. There will be a 30-second shot clock in play throughout the tournament with each player given six time bank cards of 30 seconds. Additional time banks will be provided at the start of all subsequent days and the final table.
