Welcome back to the fourth day of the 2019 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo?Casino European Poker Tour and the fifth tournament that the PokerNews live reporting team is covering here at the Monte Carlo Bay Resort & Hotel. At 12:30 PM local time, the first day of the �2,200 French National Championship High Roller kicks off in the Salle des Etoiles which promises to be a lively day filled with the action coming at you from every corner of Monaco.

Last year��s version of this tournament attracted 358 unique players with 104 reentries totaling to 462 entries creating a prize pool of �896,280 with Dimitry Shchepkin walking away with �173,000 and the renowned PokerStars Spade trophy. The final table he conquered was a star-studded event as it included Dario Sammartino, Karim Abdelmoumene, Smain Mamouni, Raffaele Carnevale, Christopher Chaudey, Isabel Baltazar, and Alexandre Reard.

Other notable players who made the money last time include Leo Margets, Rainer Kempe, Jan Bendik, Jack Salter, and Dominik Nitsche who have all already been spotted in the tournament area. Some of them are still playing in one of the other tournaments who are playing down to the final day today but might jump in later today.

Players will receive 30,000 in chips for their �2,200 buy-in and can reenter once today as long as it��s before the start of Level 9 (at 7:45 PM approximately) which is when the late registration and reentry period closes. The schedule features a big blind ante with 40-minute levels and a 20-minute break after every three levels. A 75-minute dinner break will take place after Level 8. Play will continue until 15% of the field is left and players need to make Day 2 to be in the money.
