Toma Flops Broadway to Eliminate O'Dwyer

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Davidi Kitai opened to 8,000 from under the gun and was called by Tsugunari Toma on the button and Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and the action checked to Toma who bet 7,000. O'Dwyer check-raised all in for 51,500 and Kitai went into the tank.

After using his last two time banks, Kitai let his time run out and his hand was declared dead. Toma wasted little time before making the call and turned over {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a straight. O'Dwyer was drawing thin with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and the river was the {10-Hearts}, leaving Toma with the best straight O'Dwyer was eliminated.

Van Hoof More Than Doubles

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jorryt van Hoof - Tsugumari Toma - Timothy Adams
Jorryt van Hoof - Tsugumari Toma - Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams shoved from under the gun for 26,000 and action folded to Jorryt van Hoof in the small blind who made the call. Tsugunari Toma shoved in the big blind and Van Hoof called for the 87,500 he had in total.

Timothy Adams: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Jorryt van Hoof: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Tsugunari Toma: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for Toma to hit a set immediately but it also gave Van Hoof a gutshot to a straight. Adams hit a pair of eights.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} which left Adams drawing dead as he got up from his chair already.

The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts} to give Van Hoof the straight indeed to eliminate Adams and earn a full double-up through Toma.

Beresford Busts Amid 'Casual High-Roller Conversations'

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Bryn Kenney and Derek Ip were engaged in a conversation of good places to eat in Hong Kong when Kenney made it 7,000 to go from the hijack. Kahle Burns called on the button as he chimed in.

"I don't think I could ever spend like $20,000 on a meal like you, Bryn."

"Nah, I think the most I spent on a single meal was like $2,000," Kenney responded.

"I think the most I spent was $400 and I felt dirty about it," Kahle chuckled.

Back to the action, Conor Beresford also called from the big blind and the three players saw a flop of {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. The action checked to Burns who bet 6,500 and Beresford check-raised all in for around 40,000. Kenney quickly folded and Burns snap-called.

Beresford tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for top pair but was in trouble against the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of Burns. The {7-Clubs} and {9-Spades} runout would not help Beresford as he was sent to the rail.

The life of a high-roller conversation continued with Kenney talking about his biggest splurge. "The most I splurged was when they tried to give me a middle seat from Las Vegas to the Bahamas and there was no way that was happening. It was either I get a private jet or don't go." And Kenney was in the Bahamas so we know what that entailed.

Toma Puts Kitai All-In

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 7,000 from under the gun and was called by Anton Yakuba in the middle position, Tsugunari Toma in the hijack, Quan Zhou on the button, and Davidi Kitai in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and it was checked to Toma who bet 13,000. Kitai was the only one to make the call.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, Kitai check-called the 26,000 continuation-bet of Toma.

The river completed the board with the {3-Spades}, Kitai checked for the last time and Toma bet enough to put Kitai all-in for his last 56,500. Kitai tanked, used two time bank cards, and then folded.

Friendly Canadian Battle

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Adrian Mateos got things started with a raise to 6,000 in the hijack. Sam Greenwood three-bet shoved all in for 55,000 on the button and Daniel Dvoress asked for a count from the small blind. Dvoress just called and Mateos got out of the way.

Daniel Dvoress: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Greenwood showed his ace at first, hesitant to show his "queen blocker" as he called it. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Dvoress eliminated his Canadian rival.

Pauli Ayras
Pauli Ayras

Pauli Ayras raised to 5,000 in middle position and Adrian Mateos three-bet shoved all in for roughly 80,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Ayras stuck in his last 60,000 chips.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Pauli Ayras: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

It was a coin flip and Ayras stayed in the lead on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop. The {j-Spades} paired the board on the turn and the {a-Spades} landed on the river. Mateos paired his ace and Ayras was sent to the rail.
