Tournament Room
Tournament Room

Both of the starting days of the 5,300 Main Event are wrapped up at the European Poker Tour Prague and Day 1a and 1b managed to get a combined 1,136 entries. Registration is still open for those who haven't fired two bullets yet until noon local time when cards will be in the air for Day 2. At least 395 players are returning for Day 2 of the Main Event.

Players that register before the start of Day 2 will receive a fresh stack of 30,000 chips which will be worth a little under 20 big blinds. They will have a lot of work cut out for them if they want to get close to start of day chip leader Pierre Calamusa. Calamusa managed to bag a very impressive 457,000 on Day 1a of the tournament. Bart Lybaert ended as Day 1b chip leader after finishing the day with 333,400.

Others that will try to run up a stack on Day 2 of the Main Event include PokerStars Ambassador Kalidou Sow (79,000). Sow is the only player left in the field that is repping the Red Spade and he has a stack of about 50 big blinds to start the day as they will start in level 11 with blinds at 800/1,600 and with a 1,600 big blind ante.

Others that made it through with a stack of over 100 big blinds include Gab Yong Kim with 220,800, Steve O'Dwyer (206,400), Yake Wu (197,200), Bryn Kenney (180,700), and Dario Sammartino (168,000). They will all play five 90-minute levels today with a break after every level. There will be a 20-minute break after all levels except for after level 14. That break will be 30 minutes long.
