Sarkarov Pulls Some Back

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Elvin Sarkarov has just won a couple of pots that see him move in the direction he became accustomed to yesterday.

First, he won a pot against Maksim Bukreev after calling a 25,000 bet on the {8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and then raising to 215,000 over a 75,000 bet on the {4-Clubs} turn. Bukreev didn't fancy calling, leaving Sarkarov to take it.

Next, he raised to 38,000 blind v blind against Pete Chen, who called. The flop came down {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Sarkarov bet 28,000. After Chen called, they went on to the turn. It was the {3-Diamonds} and both players checked. The last card out was the {a-Diamonds}, double pairing the board and it went check-check again.

Chen turned over {k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Sarkarov opened {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. "I thought you were going to show king high", Chen joked as the chips went Sarkarov's way.

Chen Calls Three Barrels

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Valery Yantsevich opened the cutoff to 32,000 and only Pete Chen got involved, defending his big blind.

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Chen check-called Yantsevich's 30,000 continuation bet. The {2-Hearts} turn saw more of the same, with Chen check-calling 50,000 this time.

When the {q-Spades} came on the river, Chen checked for the last time and Yantsevich made it a round 100,000 to get to showdown. It was a quick call from Chen and Yantsevich threw his cards into the muck, giving Chen a boost to his stack.

Yantsevich Doubles at the Expense of Sarkarov

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Elvin Sarkarov has taken another hit, this time after losing a flip against Valery Yantsevich. Yantsevich moved all in for 233,000 with {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and it was an easy call from Sarkarov who had {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} in the hole.

The {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} runout favoured the pair and Yantsevich is on the up, whilst for the first time today, Sarkarov has relinquished the chip lead.

Sergey Kolyasnikov Eliminated in 6th Place for ?1,739,500 ($26,738)

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sergey Kolyasnikov moved all in under the gun and it folded round to Elvin Sarkarov on the cutoff who set everyone else all in by going all in over the top. Rushad Iskandarov was sat in the small blind and after he looked at his cards, he announced his all in too. With three players in, they turned their cards over.

Rushad Iskandarov: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Elvin Sarkarov: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Sergey Kolyasnikov: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Iskandarov was ahead but needed to dodge an ace, whereas Kolyasnikov was at risk and drawing extremely thin.

The flop came {7-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Iskandarov moved further into the lead. The {4-Clubs} turn signalled the end for Kolyasnikov and Iskandarov just needed to fade an ace to win the lot. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Sarkarov takes a hit to his stack, though he remains slightly ahead of Iskandarov who is close contender for the chip lead now.

Sarkarov Puts Yantsevich to the Test

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After chipping up a little a few hands ago, Valery Yantsevich is back down again after a clash with Elvin Sarkarov.

The completed board was out with {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} on show, giving a one-card straight possibility and a two-card flush combination. Sarkarov moved all in and with 278,000 behind, Yantsevich went into the tank. He used three time bank cards and looked visibly uncomfortable, shifting around in his seat while he thought it through.

Eventually he passed and he is left with 24 big blinds in play but with Levels going up in just a few minutes, soon he won't even have that.

Yantsevich Flops Big

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There were several players in on the {k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and after two checks from the blinds, Maksim Bukreev bet 20,000. Everyone folded back to Valery Yantsevich who was in the small blind and he moved all in. Bukreev looked unsure of the best option but ultimately laid it down and Yantsevich turned over {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the flopped flush.

Iskandarov Four-Bets into Kolyasnikov

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Rushad Iskandarov opened the betting and was three-bet by Sergey Kolyasnikov on the button, who upped it to 75,000. Everyone else got out of the way and Iskandarov moved all in for around 435,000.

Kolyasnikov thought about it long enough that he needed to use a time bank card but eventually he decided to let it go.
