The nine-handed final table in the most expensive tournament of the 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online festival is set and the money bubble has burst to ensure each of the remaining contenders in EPT Online 10: $25,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super High Roller] a slice of the $2,000,000 prize pool. The event drew a total of 81 entries to all but cover the guarantee and Andrei "ragAAAila19" Boghean leads the pack with nearly two times as many chips as the nearest follower.

Boghean started his rise to the top of the leaderboard on the final three tables and subsequently sent several opponents to the rail to claim 5,538,837 to his name. Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph sits in second place with 2,794,731, a position he also held one day ago when he eventually finished 3rd in EPT Online 06: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller].

Another three players are within four big blinds including Eelis "EEE27" P?rssinen (2,368,588), Joao "Naza114" Vieira (2,297,306) and Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian (2,102,161), while Raise Your Edge founder Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle follows not far behind with 1,854,998. The trio at the bottom of the leaderboard consists of EPT Online 03: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] champion David "MonkeyBausss" Laka (1,263,703), Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo (1,083,843) and Jamie "jamienixon90" Nixon (945,832), the latter of which is in for a bargain after winning the entry in a winner-takes-all $75 Spin & Go.

All remaining nine players have at least $62,353 locked up and the winner takes home a top prize of $539,819.

Three tables were in play right away and the field kept growing during the late registration period with many big names of the international poker circuit firing more than one bullet. Ultimately, the field consisted of 49 entries and 32 re-entries, and some of those that were in for three shells without any return on their investment included David "dpeters17" Peters, Wiktor "limitless" Malinowski, Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang, Michael "imluckbox" Addamo and Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski.

PokerStars ambassador Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis was aiming to raise any cash in the tournament towards a charity for the Lewis Body Dementia but the high stakes battle was not crowned with success for the Dutchman. Veldhuis was unable to get there with ace-jack suited against the ace-queen of Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle and departed mid-way through the day.

The ascend of Andrei "ragAAAila19" Boghean to the top of the leaderboard started on the final three tables when he first flopped a flush with four-trey suited and caught Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas with the fingers in the cookie jar, holding just a pair of fives. Laurynas "LaurisL91" Levinskas saw his kings cracked by the ace-king suited of Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood and Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer departed in 17th place.

After the rapid eliminations of Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, "hello_totti" and Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach, it was Jamie "jamienixon90" Nixon that jumped into the lead after doubling through Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams and bluff-catching twice shortly after. Greenwood suddenly became the shortest stack but managed to spin it up again and Boghean doubled through Adams with jacks versus ace-ten suited, fading a gutshot, flush draw, and live card.

The tense rollercoaster ride continued for an extended period and Boghean then busted Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz in spectacular fashion when jack-ten suited cracked aces. Adams eventually jammed ace-five into the jacks of Boghean, who immediately flopped a set and set up a frantic money bubble period.

Numerous double-ups later it was Greenwood that missed out on the money and all nine remaining hopefuls wrapped up for the night. They will be back the following day at 1.05 p.m. EST with almost the entire level 23 to play for at blinds of 35,000/70,000 and a running ante of 8,750.

The Final Table will be broadcasted on the PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channel with cards-up coverage and commentary on a security delay of half an hour. All PokerNews live updates then will be published according to the stream delay. You can also check out all previous results and ongoing 2020 PokerStars EPT Online coverages right here.
