It took just over six hours before a winner was crowned in EPT Online 13: $10,300 6+ Hold'em [6-Max, High Roller] as Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood became the latest champion of the 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online.

The event featured a field of 41 total entries and the top 4 finishers earned a portion of the $410,000 prize pool with Greenwood taking home the top prize of $177,599.

From the start of play up until the finish, Greenwood sat atop the chip counts and eliminated opponent after opponent to claim his fourth career EPT title.

Greenwood is a live-tournament destroyer with $22,307,602 in lifetime earnings, according to the Hendon Mob, so it's no surprise to see the Canadian native add an online title to his accomplished resume.

Action Comes After Slow Start

With only 17 players registered from the get-go, action was slow for the first hour until WSOP bracelet winner Daniel "Oxota" Dvoress became one of the tournaments first causalities.

Shortly after Dvoress fell, play opened up and 13 players were eliminated before registration closed. Once it wasn't possible to enter anymore, players like Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski, Sergi "srxakgirona" Reixach, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi, and Mike "SirWatts" Watson found themselves out of chips.

From that point, only 11 players remained and just the top four would be walking away with a piece of the pie. Though, that didn't diminish the pace of play, as players continued to drop like wildfire with "FaNjkEEE" scoring a double elimination to set the stage for the unofficial final table.

Greenwood Finishes Strong

Once the final table started, the eventual champ sat fourth in chips but he picked-up cowboys at the right time and eliminated Denys "SantaZzz" Chufarin to soar to the top.

With six players remaining, action had come to a standstill for almost two-full-levels before Jordi "prot0" Urlings turned trip tens to eliminate both "FaNjkEEE" and "GODofHU" on the money bubble.

Once in the money, it didn't take long for the first player to fall after "ytrer" jammed their jack-ten suited into "Jhaoklet's" pocket queens. "ytrer" turned a gutshot but couldn't complete on the river and they finished in fourth place for $46,360.

Three-handed action saw chips shuffle back-and-fourth until Urlings hot streak came to an end. With the chips stacks almost evenly dispersed between the players, Urlings jammed his one-million stack into the middle with king-queen suited, only to be snapped-off by Greenwood holding a pair of kings. Urlings needed to get lucky but it just wouldn't be and he took his exit in third place for $72,539.

The heads-up battle saw Greenwood hold almost a 2:1 chip advantage over "Jhaoklet" and it didn't take long for the chips to get into the middle. After flopping a pair of jacks then turning a broadway draw, "Jhaoklet" moved all in for just over one-million and Greenwood snap-called holding the nuts. "Jhaoklet" could only hope for a chop but ended up settling with $113,503 for their second place finish.
