"Fair Result" for Brewer Concludes with a Chop

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Laszlo Bujtas raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and was called by Ben Heath on the button. Sirzat Hissou then three-bet to 15,000 in the small blind and Chris Brewer four-bet to 40,000. That forced out Bujtas and Heath while Hissou jammed for around 140,000. Brewer quickly called and they were off to the races.

Sirzat Hissou: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Chris Brewer: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Thanks to a board of {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Hissou was denied a double due to the eight-high straight on the board. "Fair result," Brewer simply stated while Hissou sighed.

In the meanwhile, Mike Watson lost the remainder of his shorter stack and there are currently 16 players out of 18 entries remaining.

Brewer Wins a Small One; Loses a Small One

Level 5 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, the flop showed {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Chris Brewer check-called a bet worth 4,000 by Teun Mulder. The {2-Diamonds} turn was checked and Brewer than bet the {a-Clubs} river for 20,000. Mulder only gave it very brief consideration and folded.

One hand later, Sirzat Hissou opened to 6,000 and was called by Brewer on the button and Laszlo Bujtas in the big blind. Three ways to the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Hissou and his continuation bet for 6,500 was called only by Brewer. Hissou also bet the {5-Spades} turn for 20,000 and Brewer folded.
