Lyubovetskiy Shows the Seven-Deuce

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Robert Cowen raised from the small blind and Andriy Lyubovetskiy defended from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Lyubovetskiy min-bet 80,000, Cowen called.

The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Lyubovetskiy bet again, this time for 400,000 and he was called again.

The {4-Clubs} filled out the river. Lyubovetskiy took a time extension before jamming all in. Cowen thought for about 20 seconds before he folded.

Lyubovetskiy tabled the {7-Spades}{2-Clubs} complete air bluff and gathered the pot.

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Ricardo Caridade
Ricardo Caridade

Ricardo Caridade had been pretty silent since dinner break, seeing his stack progressively dwindle downward without getting involved in many pots. It has now completely disappeared courtesy of Andriy Lyubovetskiy.

After Lyubovetskiy raised to 160,000 in the cutoff, Caridade moved in his last 950,000 chips. Lyubovetskiy quickly called.

Ricardo Caridade: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} to bring no help to Caridade, who takes home €206,880 for his fourth-place finish.

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos jammed from the small blind and Conor Beresford called in the big.

Adrian Mateos: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Conor Beresford: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Mateos was in rough shape as the flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, the turn was the {k-Clubs} to eliminate an out for Mateos and the river came the {8-Spades} as his fairly shocking fall from grace was complete, going from big chip leader at dinner break to next one out the door in the span of not even one and a half levels.

Cowen Wins Huge Pot, Takes Chip Lead

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

The chip lead has moved from Adrian Mateos to Andriy Lyubovetskiy, and now to Robert Cowen after a pot involving all three.

Lyubovetskiy opened in the cutoff to 200,000, Mateos called on the button, and Cowen called in the big blind.

The trio saw a flop of {4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, which Cowen checked. Lyubovetskiy continued for 100,000, Mateos folded, and Cowen called.

On the {9-Diamonds} turn, Cowen checked again and Lyubovetskiy bet another 200,000. Cowen called once more.

The river brought the {2-Spades}, which Cowen checked a final time, and again Lyubovetskiy bet, this time for 500,000.

Cowen responded by moving all-in for just under 2,500,000.

Lyubovetskiy gave the decision some thought but opted to muck his cards and cede his chip lead to Cowen, who now has over four million in chips.

Mateos Loses More

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised from the small blind, Conor Beresford defended his big blind.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Mateos bet 160,000, Beresford called.

Acton went check-check on the turn and the river when the {4-Hearts} and {4-Clubs} came off.

Mateos showed the {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} but Beresford had the winner with the {9-}{5-} for a pair and Mateos's stack continues to dwindle.

Mateos' Slide Continues

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

It hasn't been a good level for Adrian Mateos since dinner break, as he's now fallen from chip leader to table short stack.

After he raised on the button to 120,000, Robert Cowen three-bet him from the big blind to 500,000.

Mateos called to see a flop of {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, which Cowen bet to the sum of 210,000. Mateos called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Cowen didn't slow down, betting another 385,000.

Mateos quickly folded, showing a bit of visual frustration that he's lost over half his stack here in Level 27.

Lyubovetskiy Shoves on Mateos

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

From the button Andriy Lyubovetskiy raised, Adrian Mateos three-bet to 420,000 from the small blind and Lyubovetskiy called.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Mateos continued with a lead for 450,000 and was called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Mateos slowed down and checked. Lyubovetskiy bet 450,000 and Mateos called.

The river came the {5-Hearts} to put three to a flush on board. Mateos checked. Lyuboetskiy used a time extension before jamming all in. Mateos sighed and stood up a bit to assess the situation. After several moments and two time banks, Mateos laid it down as Lyubovetskiy won this round from Mateos in their blooming rivalry.

Mateos and Lyubovetskiy Duel in Blinds Again

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

If the rest of the table continues to fold to Adrian Mateos and Andriy Lyubovetskiy's blinds, there could be plenty of interesting blind battles on this final table.

In their most recent hand, Lyubovetskiy limped his small blind and Mateos raised to 225,000 in the big blind.

Lyubovetskiy called, then checked the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. Mateos bet 130,000 and Lyubovetskiy called.

The players checked the {10-Spades} turn, then on the {q-Diamonds} river, it was Lyubovetskiy leading for 100,000.

Mateos used one of his time bank cards before sliding forward a single T-100,000 chip to call.

Lyubovetskiy showed {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for eight-high and a missed flush draw. Mateos turned over {7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for a winning bottom pair to take some of his chips back from his nemesis..
