Mateos Fights Back Against Dvoress

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Adrian Mateos raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Daniel Dvoress defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Dvoress started with a check.

Mateos threw in a bet of 4,000 only to have Dvoress check-raise to 11,000. Mateos pondered for a moment and then countered with a three-bet to 26,000. Dvoress wasted little time before throwing his cards away and Mateos dragged in an early pot.

The €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller II is on the schedule today and is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. local time with a winner being crowned later tonight.

Late last night, Ben Heath captured the first of the single-day high roller events that saw a total of 22 entries take part. Kulev still managed to escape with a six-figure payout of €142,620 while Daniel Dvoress and Pablo Brito Silva also rounded out those in the money.

The structure will be the exact same today with a starting stack of 100,000 chips and the blinds beginning at 500/1,000 and a 1,000 big blind ante. The levels will be 30 minutes in length with the first eight levels comprising of all double levels. There will be an unlimited re-entry option available and late registration will remain open until after the dinner break and the start of level 11.

For those that are registered at the start of the tournament, they will receive half of the house fee back in cash.
