Pique Gets Short After Controversial Hand
There was some commotion at Table 4 and this time it was not because of Martin Kabrhel, although he let his opinion be known after the hand. With the board reading , Dimitar Danchev had a bet of 45,000 in front of him with the action on Gerard Pique. The famous football pro was left without any time banks but the dealer allowed the action to continue past the 30 seconds when Pique still called.
The river was the and Danchev tossed in another bet of 90,000. Pique used up all 30 seconds again and then finally called. Danchev tabled for trip threes and Pique ditched his cards to the muck. After the hand, Pique was warned that he needs to act within the 30 seconds going forward or his hand would be declared dead.
"You should give him his money back from the turn and river," Kabrhel argued. "He went 40 seconds over, his hand should be dead."
