12 levels were played today, and it was quite apparent early on that bounties were in play, as players were risking it all to claim bounty slips. This was especially so after the bounty pool was announced and a staggering 250,000 bounty was revealed. The lucky player that went home with that grand prize was Johann Zeitoun.

"I was telling my friends that if I got a bounty I would go directly to the desk," he told PokerNews. "I'm really happy. I play lots of tournaments, but now I'm really happy."

Meanwhile, Yamato Nakai was the lucky recipient of the Platinum Pass to the PokerStars Players Championship in 2023. An ecstatic Nakai was grinning from ear to ear as EPT Tournament Director Toby Stone presented him with his prize.

The Red Spade Pass winner was Anders Wessman from Sweden. Wessman has one career cash from the 2019 World Series of Poker and will now be heading to Brazil for an exclusive Formula 1 experience.

As was mentioned before, there was big action today as players were eager to knock out players as well as ladder up through the tournament. Manuel Fischer was the first player to break the one million mark just before dinner break and stayed at the top of the leaderboards all day. But towards the evening, it was Anthony Miles that surged ahead after taking down several huge pots consecutively, several of which were over 1,000,000 in size.

There were several big names out in the field today that didn't make it to bag, including Steve O'Dwyer, Olga Iermolcheva, Robert Mizrachi, David Kitai, Damian Salas, and Yuliyan Kolev. Martin Jacobson also made a deep run and ended up finishing in 31st place.

Players will return tomorrow at 12:00 Noon and will follow the same 40-minute level format for Day 3, playing down to a winner with a 15-minute break every three levels, beginning at Level 28 with 25000/50000/50000.

Keep yourself in the know with PokerNews for all the latest from the Main Event, the final day of the 3,000 Mystery Bounty Championship, and the rest of the action here at EPT Barcelona!
