Day 1c of the �1,100 French Poker Series (FPS) Main Event has come to an end at the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino?? and 927 players turned out for the third of four flights in the return of EPT action to Monte Carlo.

A total of 287 players will return for Day 2, with 139 runners representing Day 1c.

Marius Gicovanu is the chipleader after going on a late run in the final levels to finish with 852,000. Among the others near the top of the leaderboard are Eugenio Peralta, Enrico Francesio, and Ervin Gjini. Other notables who advanced include PokerStars Ambassador Benjamin Spragg, Jessica Teusl, John Mooney, Justin Saliba and Adrian Mateos.

Spragg was in the mix all day long and he steadily built his stack to 265,000. The popular streamer will return tomorrow in search of his first EPT title. Elsewhere, Mateos had an up and down day, finishing with 88,000 after being down to the felt and running it back up over 200,000. The 2015 EPT Monte Carlo Main Event champion will return on Day 2 looking to make a run at another EPT title.

Action concluded on Day 1c in Level 16 with 12:48 left on the clock. The surviving players from all four flights will return tomorrow to play Day 2 and blinds will continue in the earliest level reached by the opening flights. Everyone returning for Day 2 will be in the money and official payouts will be announced prior to the beginning of the day. The plan for Day 2 is to play through the end of Level 22.
