The €25,000 EPT High Roller Begins at 12:30 p.m.
As the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour presented by Monte-Carlo Casino begins to wind down, there is still time for some more high-stakes action at the Monte Carlo Sporting complex. This €25,000 EPT High Roller often tends to be the last chance for many of the players to make a deep run and have a successful stop in the French Riviera.
The field is expected to be littered with notable names including those who have already claimed a title in Monte Carlo. Coming fresh off his win in the €100,000 Super High Roller, Adrian Mateos landed another seven-figure score on his resume and will be looking to continue his hot streak to end the festival. Others that have earned the stop in earlier high-stakes tournaments include Pascal Lefrancois, Yuri Dzivielevski, and Jean-Noel Thorel.
The action is slated to get underway at 12:30 p.m. local time with all those in their seats by the start of the tournament earning back half of the registration fee. Each starting stack will be given 50,000 in chips along with eight time banks. The blinds will begin at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante and the levels will be 60 minutes throughout the tournament.
This is a single re-entry tournament and late registration will remain open until the start of Day 2. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 75-minute dinner break after level 6. A total of 10 levels is on the schedule for Day 1, in this three-day tournament.
The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout this tournament en route to crowning a champion.
