What Did Dvoress Have?

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress had a 5,000-value tournament chip in front of him for what looked like a raise from the cutoff. Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 18,000 from the big blind. Dvoress contemplated it for a bit and then four-bet to 42,000 for Eibinger to make the call after taking some time too.

The flop came {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Eibinger checked. Dvoress bet 18,500 for Eibinger to come along to the {q-Spades} on the turn.

Eibinger checked again and Dvoress bet once more, this time it was a bet of 56,000. Eibinger tanked, used a time bank card, and then shoved for 173,000. Dvoress hesitated and then folded.

Nick Petrangelo had gotten up from his chair and went back to it and said he wanted to guess what Dvoress had had: "Two guesses. Ace-six of hearts?" Dvoress shook his head. "Ace-deuce of hearts?" Petrangelo continued.

"No," Dvoress replied.

"I was wrong," Petrangelo concluded and everyone laughed.

"Ace-seven of hearts," Chidwick chimed in.

"I didn't have a f***ing heart!" Dvoress claimed.

"Ace-six of spades," someone continued.

"He's trying to pretend he had ace-king, but that wasn't enough," Eibinger remarked to end the speculations.
