O'Dwyer Can't Connect, Busts to Lococo
Alejandro Lococo raised to 4,500 in the hijack and Steve O'Dwyer called from the cutoff before big blind Felipe Ketzer three-bet to 23,000. Both Lococo and O'Dwyer called to the 3?6?8? flop.
Ketzer and Lococo checked over to O'Dwyer who moved all in for around 45,000. Ketzer quickly folded, but Lococo snap-called.
Steve O'Dwyer: A?J?
Alejandro Lococo: J?J?
O'Dwyer needed to hit an ace or complete his flush draw to stay alive, but he missed the 8? turn and 4? river and became the first elimination of the tournament.
"Nice hand," Kayhan Mokri told Lococo after O'Dwyer packed up his things and left the table.
"I play tight like you," Lococo said to a round of laughs from around the table.
"I might become a tournament player. I'm having too much fun," Mokri replied.
