Fournier Loses to Trips, Gets It Back With Queen-High
Three-handed on a board of 5?7?K?6?, Oshri Lahmani bet 330,000 from the cutoff before Samuel Fournier raised to 750,000 out of the big blind.
Markku Koplimaa got out of the way in middle position, but Lahmani stuck around and called. The river came the K? and Fournier slowed down and checked.
Lahmani checked behind and turned over K?Q? to win the pot over Fournier's A?6?.
The next hand, Fournier limped in from the small blind before Carl Shaw raised to 240,000. Fournier called to see the K?2?K? flop.
Shaw continued for 300,000 and Fournier called. The turn came the K? and Shaw bet another 360,000. Fournier again called to the A? river, where both players checked.
Fournier then turned over Q?J? and Shaw mucked as Fournier took the pot with trip kings, queen-kicker.
