Tukmachev Wakes Up With the Goods on the Bubble
Enrico Camosci raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and Daniyar Aubakirov called in the small blind before Ivan Tukmachev three-bet to 45,000 from the big blind.
Camosci then four-bet to 84,000 and Aubakirov moved all in. Tukmachev snap-called, while Camosci got out of the way.
The two players then waited several minutes for the rest of the field to finish their hands before turning up their cards. Tablemate Stanislav Tishkevich offered Tukmachev a fist bump, but he shook his head and nervously closed his eyes as he awaited the board.
Ivan Tukmachev: A?A?
Daniyar Aubakirov: 8?8?
Tukmachev had woken up with aces and improved to top set on the 10?A?Q? flop. The 3? turn gave Aubakirov a flush draw, but he failed to connect with the K? river as Tukmachev won the pot.
The stacks were counted down and Tukmachev had 250,000 remaining. Aubakirov had him covered by just 5,000 as he dropped down to an extreme short stack.
