Refos Exposes His Kings, Santerne Still Calls
Thomas Santerne raised to 25,000 in the cutoff and Raoul Refos called from the small blind. David Kaufmann then shoved all in from the big blind for 210,000 and Santerne called.
Refos then reshoved for 317,000 and turned over K?K? without realizing Santerne hadn't called yet. The floor was called over and Santerne was given the decision whether to commit the chips, and he called to put both opponents at risk.
David Kaufmann: Q?J?
Raoul Refos: K?K?
Thomas Santerne: 8?8?
"You called even when you know he has kings? I'm confused by that call. Unless he knows something," tablemate Mario Trattou said as they saw the board fall J?2?3?10?7?. Refos' kings stayed in front and Kaufmann busted, while Santerne handed over a double up.
"Unlucky bro," Trattou told Santerne after the hand.
"It's the game," Santerne replied, taking the beat in stride.
"Are you going to start doing cartwheels now? You were so excited to show those kings. That shit might work at Dusk Till Dawn, but not here in Cyprus. Don't go raising every hand now that you have chips," Trattou joked with Refos as the two players shared a laugh.
