Petrangelo and Kamphues Chop a Four-Way Affair
Timo Kamphues, Nick Petrangelo, Tom-Aksel Bedell, and Dario Sammartino all put in some of their chips preflop to create a pot of 50,000. The flop was 7?10?9? and all four players checked their option.
On the 3? turn, Bedell led for 21,000 chips and now all three remaining players decided to call. The Q? river apparently scared them, however, as each one knuckled the table to signify a check.
All eight cards were shown down. Bedell could only show ace-high with his missed flush draw of A?2?.
"Nine?" Sammartino carefully asked, before tabling his K?9?. Kamphues had that beat, however, and showed Q?J? for a pair of queens. Petrangelo had the same holding with his Q?J?.
"I'll take it," said Kamphues and the two players chopped the pot while Bedell was lamenting his missed flush draw in this rare multiway situation.
