Welcome to Day 1 of the 10,300 EPT Paris High Roller

Trophy
Trophy

It's time for the 10,300 High Roller held as part of the PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris. Day 1 of the event is set to kick off today at 12:30 p.m. local time at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile.

The event will run for three days and players will have just a single reentry to stamp their mark on the tournament. Registration is open until the end of Day 1.

Players will start with 50,000 chips and blinds start at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. This means starting stacks at the first blind level will be 250 big blinds deep. Day 1 will play for ten 60-minute levels with a 20 minute break every two levels and 75 minute break at the end of level six.

Kannapong Thanarattrakul won the last 10,300 EPT High Roller event, which was held as part of EPT Prague. He outlasted a field of 274 entries to take home a prize of 543,750.

As is expected in an event of this calibre, plenty of familiar faces are already registered for the event, including Masato Yokosawa, Byron Kaverman, who recently came fourth in the PCA Super High Roller for over $1 million, and Dominik Nitsche, who's list of poker accomplishments is extensive.

Also registered for the event are a few players who are returning off the back of recent EPT results. Dragos Trofimov came third in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event in 2022 and will be looking for another final table score. Julien Sitbon bagged a first place finish in a freezeout event in Monte Carlo the same year. And Antoine Labat finished just shy of the final table of the 10,300 EPT Barcelona High Roller last year.

Of course, many more players will register before the event and over the course of Day 1.
