The players are set to return to the felt for Day 2 of the 3,000 EPT Mystery Bounty at the 2023 PokerStars European Poker Tour Paris. There were 329 players who bagged up chips after Day 1 out of the over 700 entries thus far. It was Gabriel Shohet who finished on top of the counts and will be in a prime position to pull a few bounties today.

Over the course of 10 levels on the opening day, business owner and part-time poker player, Shohet amassed a whopping stack of 265,500 on the heels of 12 eliminations throughout the day. However, those knockouts won't come into play until the start of today when the bounty portion of the tournament begins. Each player will be given a bounty chip to start the day, and those will be able to be redeemed for an envelope in the "tickle trunk".

Late registration was still open until 12:30 p.m. local time today and the final numbers will determine the prize pool along with the prizes for each bounty. Some of the other big stacks heading into the day include PokerStars ambassador Lex Veldhuis who accumulated a stack of 192,500 chips on the opening day. Veldhuis sits among the top 10 stacks entering the day and will have his sights set on some of the top prizes as the action continues. He will be joined by the likes of Ian Bradley (182,000), Nick Marchington (136,000), and Sonny Franco (127,500).

The cards will go back in the air at 1 p.m. local time with the blind resuming on level 11 at 1,000/1,500 and a 1,500 big blind ante. The levels will continue to be 40 minutes in length throughout the tournament with a 15-minute break after every three levels. A 75-minute dinner break is currently scheduled for after level 16.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day along with who draws the largest mystery bounty tickets.
