Kiers Eliminated as El Yakoubi Reluctantly Calls

Level 24 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Martijn Kiers
Martijn Kiers

The action folded around to Martijn Kiers on the button who jammed for his last 140,000. Mosjin El Yakoubi was in the big blind and went into the tank. "Uh, I shouldn't have looked," he said as he contemplated calling. After about 20 more seconds, he sighed as he dropped the chips across the line.

Martijn Kiers: A?2?
Mosjin El Yakoubi: 6?4?

Kiers wasn't ahead for long as the flop came K?6?5?, pairing El Yakoubi's four. The 5? turn and 8? river meant Kiers' main event run was over as he was eliminated from the tournament.

Ramon Colillas

Ramon Colillas defended his big blind versus a cutoff open to 60,000 by Piotr Wiecek and check-called a bet of 45,000 from Wiecek on the 8?K?4? flop.

The 5? turn was checked through by both players.

On the A? river, Colillas checked to Wiecek, who slid out a bet of 165,000. Colillas quickly called.

Wiecek showed Q?9? for queen-high, having missed his flush draw. Colillas showed A?10? for top pair, allowing him to rake in the pot.
