Two Pair for Macdonnell
Level 3
: Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Vitezslav Cech opened to 700 from under the gun, but Marc Macdonnell to his left three-bet to 2,400. All the other players folded to Cech, who four-bet to 6,800. Macdonnell then went into the tank, and eventually called.
The dealer fanned a flop of J?10?9?. Cech continued with a bet of 7,500, but Macdonnell raised all-in for 23,000. Cech seemed to have no choice but to call.
Marc Macdonnell: Q?J?
Vitezslav Cech: A?A?
Macdonnell had a straight flush draw on the flop, but the Q? on the turn was enough to give him two pair. So after the river 7?, he doubled up, while Cech was down to 200 chips and eliminated moments later.
