O'Neill Picks Off Kyte on the River
Level 26
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
"Very lucky river. If I bet small I call, but not with an overbet," Jon Kyte said, still discussing his prior hand with Adam Wagner as he raised to 110,000 under the gun.
"Showed me a lot of respect," Wagner replied.
Padraig O'Neill called in the big blind and they went heads-up to the 7?4?10? flop. Kyte then bet 75,000 and O'Neill called.
The turn was the K? and Kyte bet 150,000. O'Neill again called and the J? fell on the river. Kyte then bet 450,000.
O'Neill called and Kyte showed A?9? for ace-high. O'Neill had 9?8? for the rivered straight to win the pot.
"You both get lucky on the river. I thought I was the one to get lucky," Kyte said after the hand.
