Rezaei Wins With Nines Again; Pardo Hits Top Set on Korzinin
Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 5,500 in the cutoff and Kayhan Mokri called in the small blind. Daniel Rezaei then three-bet to 26,000 in the big blind, Ponakovs four-bet to 65,000, and only Rezaei called.
The flop came Q?10?9? and Rezaei led out for 35,000. Ponakovs called and they both checked down the 4? turn and A? river. Rezaei showed 9?9? for a set and Ponakovs mucked.
At another table, Juan Pardo and Vladimir Korzinin built a pot of around 150,000 as they went to the turn with the board showing K?Q?2?4?. Pardo then moved all in for 99,000 in the hijack and Korzinin called on the button.
Pardo showed K?K? for top set and Korzinin went to muck his cards as the 6? completed the board. The dealer exposed his A?3? before handing over the double up to Pardo.
