The 314 players who return for Day 2 of the PokerStars France Poker Series Main Event have already accomplished their first goal: make the money. Now the race to the title begins when action resumes at noon local time inside Sporting Monte-Carlo.

Gil Aboodi waited until the last of four starting flights to grab the chip lead, taking 889,000 into Day 2. He’s followed by Remy Murcia (869,000), Vladimir Erceg (762,000), Kevin Tedesco (699,000), and Stephen Nahm (644,000). Other top stacks include Clement Michaud (628,000), EPT champion Ognyan Dimov (524,000), Ankit Ahuja (446,000), Julien Sitbon (383,000), Gabi Livshitz (348,000), Simone Andrian (334,000), and Mateusz Moolhuizen (296,000).

Team PokerStars Pro and EPT Barcelona champion Simon Wiciak enters Day 2 with 190,000, while Jason Wheeler (130,000), EPT champions Davidi Kitai (108,000), Sebastian Malec (101,000), and Maria Lampropulos (97,000), as well as Team PokerStars Pro Felix Schneiders (74,000) have also guaranteed themselves a payday.

The action resumes with 13 minutes left on Level 16 with blinds of 2,000-5,000 and a 5,000 big blind ante. Levels are now 60 minutes long. The four starting flights attracted a total of 2,096 entries, building a prize pool of €2,012,160. Official payouts will be announced early in the day.
