Basile Runs Into Adinolfo's Aces
Pierre Basile raised to 25,000 in the hijack and Oliver Huber called on the button. Alessandro Adinolfo then three-bet to 60,000 in the small blind.
Basile four-bet to 95,000 and Huber folded. Adinolfo moved all in for 195,000 and Basile called.
Alessandro Adinolfo: A?A?
Pierre Basile: K?Q?
Adinolfo showed down aces and was a big favorite to double up as the board ran out 9?5?4?8?7? to earn him the pot.
"It's a long tournament," Adinolfo said as he raked in the chips.
"Not for everybody. It's a marathon, not a sprint," tablemate Mateusz Moolhuizen replied.
"The key is to win the last hand that you play, right?" Huber added.
"It's hard to look that far ahead when there's 2,000 entries," Moolhuizen said.
"If you play this tournament every day, you'll win it once every eight years," Huber said.
