Table Stunned as Kanit Doubles Up

In a single raised pot to the 8?4?5? flop, Mustapha Kanit, in the big blind check-raised to 55,000 over a bet of 22,000. His opponent, Igaal Hanouna, called from middle position.

Kanit continued to apply pressure, firing out 67,000 on the 6? turn. With four to a straight on the board, Hanouna called once more.

The 8? river paired and completed the board. Kanit emptied the clip, shoving for 206,000. Hanouna asked for a count and wasted little time in calling.

Kanit thought he was heading to the rail, as he could only table 9?6? for eights and sixes. Hanouna, to the tables surprise, could not beat that as he had put on his cape and hero called with A?Q?.

There was some laughter from the other players at the table, with one player adding, "You didn't expect that."

"So sick," commented Rafael Moraes.

"Sick value bet," then joked Kanit.
