Patrick Faraut opened to 800 under the gun and was met with a three-bet by Anton Johnson in middle position to 2,500.
Action folded to Laurent Michot in the big blind, who reached for chips and produced a cold four-bet to 9,500.
Faraut pondered his options for a moment, and announced all-in for around 36,000. Johnson got the rest of his chips quickly in the middle, while Michot folded, with Johnson at risk.
Anton Johnson: A?A?
Patrick Faraut: J?J?
Faraut had run into Johnson's aces and before the flop Faraut asked the poker gods for a jack.
Sure enough the flop came out 9?J?10? to give Faraut top set and leaving Johnson drawing thin.
The 3?6? completed the runout, sending the unfortunate Johnson to the rail.
Cosimo De Gennaro opened to 500 in middle position, only to be met with a three-bet of 1,500 from Iulen Lacunza. Thierry Sellam then cold-called in the next seat. De Gennaro also came along for the ride.
On the 8?6?3? flop De Gennaro checked and Lacunza put out a bet of 1,600. Sellam made a quick call and De Gennaro folded.
On the 6? turn Lacunza slowed down, check-calling a bet of 2,800 from Sellam.
The J? rolled off on the river and Lacunza again checked to his opponent. Sellam didn't think long before shipping in his remaining 11,200 and Lacunza quickly called.
Sellam turned over Q?10? for the queen-high bluff while Lacunza had set the trap perfectly for his opponent with Q?Q? for a pair of queens.
About 4,000 was in the middle in a three-way pot when Tiberiu-Onut Panainte fired out a bet of 3,600 from the small blind on 8?3?10? and was called by Jason Wheeler and Anatoly Chen.
On the 5? turn Panainte was not deterred by two callers, sliding forward another bet of 8,600. Wheeler again made the call. Action folded to Chen who looked bemused, pondered his options, but also eventually called.
The 10? rolled off on the river to pair the board and that slowed Panainte down, who checked his option.
Wheeler pondered for a moment before moving the rest of his chips into the middle, around 16,000. Chen folded quickly and Panainte made the quick call.
Wheeler turned over A?7? for the ace-high bricked flush draw, the chunky pot being too juicy for Wheeler to check, while Panainte had K?K?, and the cowboys sent him a monster early pot.
