The Bubble Bursts Eventually; 81 Advance on Day 1b
There were three all-in and call on separate tables as a small rail ran back and forth to see the action unfold once their own tables had been finished.
First to run was the forced all-in of Liviu Bartha for the last 15,000 out of the blinds, and he was up against Maria Konnikova.
Liviu Bartha: 5?4?
Maria Konnikova: K?9?
The Q?7?2?6?8? board gave Bartha a straight and the railbirds groaned.
In the meanwhile, Cedric Schwaederle had open-jammed from late position and Shakhabiddin Muradov called all-in for 193,000 in the small blind.
Shakhabiddin Muradov: A?A?
Cedric Schwaederle: 8?7?
"He has the best aces cracker," some of the chatter came from the rail.
The J?8?4? flop provided one eight and the crowd became more anxious. Nothing changed on the K? turn but the dreadful 8? river let the bubble burst. One more all-in was to come over on table three, however.
Milan Popovic was already all in for his last 7,000 from the small blind and Alessandro Pichierri raised all in from the cutoff. Everyone else folded.
Milan Popovic: K?J?
Alessandro Pichierri: 9?9?
The board ran out A?2?10?3?5? keeping Pichierri's nines best and eliminating Popovic along with Muradov on the Day-2 bubble.
