Play started with 7 players when the tournament commenced at 7p.m local time, but the field quickly grew with more entrants. The prize pool currently stands at €752,640. Artur Martirosian was the first player to find his way to the reentry desk having lost a flip with big slick to Stephen Chidwick. Chidwick himself fired two bullets finding no success this time around.

Adrian Mateos was another player to go through two bullets, as was Alex Kulev who built a stack of just under 200,000 before having to double a short stack before busting. Sam Greenwood also fired two bullets but had better luck and is sitting with a stack of 182,000. EPT Paris €50,000 Super High Roller runner-up Chris Brewer will be in the mix on Day 2. He found a crucial double up against Mateos as he four-bet all in with pocket queens versus the Spaniard's ace-jack offsuit.

Daniel Dvoress will be returning for Day 2 with a stack of 195,000. He will be looking to add another deep run to what has already been a very impressive EPT series with victories in two €25,000 events in the French Capital. Sirzat Hissou is another player who will be in the mix having fired two bullets.

Late registration will remain open until the start of Level 11 where play will resume with blinds of 2,000/5,000 with a 5,000 big blind ante.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for continued coverage of this event as EPT Paris draws to its conclusion.
