Sklenicka Makes Straight to Bust Mahmudi
Michael Sklenicka open-raised to 1,700, Felix Schneiders called on the button, then Burim Mahmudi three-bet to 1,700 from the big blind. Sklenicka and Schneiders both called and three players went to the flop.
The flop ran out Q?J?K? and Mahmudi continued for 5,000. Sklenicka raised it up to 17,600, Schneiders folded and Mahmudi made the call.
On the A? turn, Mahmudi checked and Sklenicka pushed forward a bet of 31,000, which was more than half of his stack. Mahmudi called and left himself a little over 10,000.
The river came the 2? and the rest of Mahmudi's chips went in the middle as he bet and Sklenicka moved all in. Mahmudi had A?K? for two pair, but Sklenicka turned over 10?9? for the nut straight to win the pot.
Sklenicka chipped up to nearly 150,000 and Mahmudi was eliminated from the tournament.
