Mounir Tajiou had his stack of 12,400 in the middle preflop and was at risk to Pasi Sormunen. Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin had a decision to make having already put in a few chips and said "I will fold the winning hand," then laid down pocket jacks.

Luka Sorainen opened to 1,100 from middle position and Alexander Ivarsson three-bet the button to 3,500. When the action got back to Sorainen, he called.

They both saw a flop of 10?9?5? where Sorainen check-called a bet of 3,500 from Ivarsson to the K? turn, which went check-check.

A 3? filled out the board and Sorainen moved all-in for 16,400. Ivarsson didn't react for a while then eventually asked for a count, and upon receiving it, went into deep thought with his stack of around 20,000. Around 90 more seconds went by when Ivarsson made the call, which put Sorainen at risk.

Sorainen then stood up and tabled A?Q?, and Ivarsson revealed J?J? for the winner.

Picking up the action on the river, the board was 3?Q?9?10?3? with around 35,000 in the pot. Conor Beresford shoved all in and Thomas DeRooij made the call for 36,000.

Beresford showed A?J? for a bluff with a missed straight draw, while DeRooij had K?Q? for a pair of queens to win the pot.

Beresford was left short and a couple of hands later he moved all in again, shoving his last 10,000 into the middle on the turn with top pair. His opponent, Attila Zab, called and flipped over a set of tens and Beresford was eliminated. He wished the table "good luck" as he headed for th exit.

Felix Schneiders raised to 1,000 from the hijack. Fintan Hand, who had chipped back up considerably after being down to less than 15,000, called on the button, and Lyudmil Ivanov called in the big blind.

The flop paired when it ran out A?10?A? and Ivanov checked. Schneiders made it 800 to go, which both Hand and Ivanov called. The turn was the 7? and Ivanov checked again. Schneiders sized up to 6,500, almost a pot sized bet. Hand folded and Ivanov called.

The river came the A? and Ivanov checked. "Worst river in the world," said Schneiders as he checked behind to showdown.

Schneiders had 7?7? for a full house, while Ivanov flipped over A?J? for quad aces to win the pot.

It was indeed a bad river for Schneiders, but he saved himself from elimination by checking back the river.

One of the players from Table 18 filled in the gaps for PokerNews in a hand that saw Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin spike a two-outer to remain in the tournament.

There were around 3,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 2x4x7x when Mounir Tajiou checked and Dimitar Iwanov-Petkin fired 1,500. Tobias Garp then raised to 5,500, and Tajiou called. Iwanov-Petkin then shoved his stack of 13,000 into the middle, which Garp called.

"My hand can't be good," said Tajiou, and he folded.
