Marius Torbergsen Out in 4th

Marius Torbergsen has been eliminated by Peter Jepsen.

Jepsen check-raised Torbergsen on a flop of {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Torbergsen was all-in if he called. After a long dwell up he pushed his remaining chips in and showed {Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}

Jepsen was delighted to get the call as he flopped the nuts with {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The turn brought fresh hope for Torbergsen, as a {Q-Hearts} fell. Giving him six out cards, any Queen or any Five.

The river sealed his fate though. A harmless {4-Diamonds}

Jepsen continues his good form.

We are now down to three!

It's all tightened up

It's down to four and getting edgy
It's down to four and getting edgy
Four to go and the serious differentials between the prize rungs seems to have got to everyone. A mere sniff of a raise sees the others heading for shelter. In the one "family pot" we have seen, the flop of {4-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades} saw John Conroy take down a highly useful pot with a 35k bet. He is now on over 750k and level with Peter Jepsen while Farid is not far ahead on 900k plus. Only Marius is in need of a good hand quickly.

A measure of the caution was seen when Marius and Farid saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Check, check.

The turn was {6-Diamonds} for an intriguing board full of possibilities. Marius bet a small amount, Farid called.

River {6-Hearts}. What a board.

Marius was sorely tempted to bet but, with his low stack, could not bring himself to take the chance. Farid also checked and showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Marius mucked.

Katja finally lets go

It has been a long but ultimately rewarding campaign for German Pokerstars player Katja Thater. Always low on chips, she hung tough as player after player fell by the wayside.

Finally, she has gone in fifth spot for a decent payday after her 22 failed to stand up to Peter Jepsen's AQ.
