Filatov Down To One Chip; Survives
Anatoly Filatov opened the action for 12,000 and, as it folded round to Robert Haigh, Filatov turned to Martijn Ardon and said, “This guy will shove.”
Haigh did move all in for 74,000 and Filatov, who had a little more, said, “Whatever, let’s gamble.” and called.
Filatov had but it wasn’t the flip he was hoping for as Haigh had . The cards ran out and with Filatov in the big blind next he was left with 14k behind.
“What can I do? I like to play coin flips?” Filatov said seeking the approval of Chris Moorman and Benny Spindler who both agreed they would probably call in his shoes.
With a raise and two callers in front of him Filatov made the call and left himself with one T1000 chip behind. A flop of saw Filatov put in the chip. He got just one caller who tabled and Filatov slammed down his in mock jubilation. It held on the turn and river but it looks as if time is running out for the entertaining Russian.
