The flop came and Peters checked to Goryachev. Goryachev made a continuation bet of 350,000 and Peters check raised to 720,000. Goryachev tanked for a bit before announcing all in. Peters shrugged and made a somewhat reluctant call it seemed.
Viacheslav Goryachev:
David Peters,
The on the turn didn't change a thing. The dealer burned in rapid fashion and spiked the on the river! Goryachev couldn't believe what had happened and just sat there aghast for about ten seconds. He then shook hands with his two former opponents and made his way to the pay out desk.
It's only by a small margin, but for the first time today Ivan Luca is the short stack. David Peters raised from the button to 260,000 and Luca called from the big blind.
The flop came down and Peters bet 240,000 after Luca had checked to him. Luca eventually called and both players checked on the turn.
The river was the and Luca check-folded to Peters' bet of 340,000.
David Peters folded and Artem Metalidi on the button was next to act. He shoved all in for 1,390,000 and small blind Viacheslav Goryachev instantly asked for a count. When he heard how much it was, he shoved over the top all in. Ivan Luca folded his big blind right away.
"This is bad news" Metalidi said before the cards were opened.
Viacheslav Goryachev:
Artem Metalidi:
The board blanked out completely, not hitting any of the two players: .
Artem Metalidi finished in 4th place, picking up 234,500. The remaining three players are guaranteed 290,500.
David Peters raised from the button to 240,000 and Viacheslav Goryachev called from the big blind. The flop brought and Goryachev check-folded to a bet of 155,000.
The fourth hand David Peters opened for 260,000 from the button. Small blind Artem Metalidi shoved for 1,130,000 and the big blind folded right away. Peters tanked for three minutes before folding.
The first three hands saw three players shove all in. Viacheslav Goryachev was first and got no calls. David Peters shoved the second hand on both shorties and again two folds. And wouldn't you know it, the third hand Artem Metalidi shoved and again two folds. Will Ivan Luca be the next to shove?
Ivan Luca raised to 200,000, David Peters called from the button and Artem Metalidi moved all in for 1,410,000.
Luca folded right away and Peters tanked for a while before folding his hand. Despite losing this pot Peters' still doing great while Metalidi picked up a little more to make the gap between him and Viacheslav Goryachev a little bigger.
Ivan Luca opened under the gun and David Peters and Artem Metalidi folded. Viacheslav Goryachev made the call from the big blind with 545,000 behind.
The flop came and Goryachev checked. Luca shoved all in and Goryachev instantly called.
Ivan Luca:
Viacheslav Goryachev:
The on the turn was one of the better cards for Luca, but the on the river wasn't one he was looking for. Two pair versus two pair, double up for Goryachev.
