Kovtunov Crippled by Little; Eliminated by Goryachev

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The action started with Glib Kovtunov raising to 16,000 from middle position before Jonathan Little three-bet from the hijack. With the decision folding back around to Kovtunov, he moved all in for 222,000 and was called by Little who had one 1,000-chip less.

Kovtunov: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Little: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Little had the best hand but was the one at risk. The board ran out {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades} to see Little improve to a pair as he took down the pot.

Kovtunov was left with one ante the following hand and was committed the next hand from under the gun plus one.

The hand played out with Little opening to 16,000 from middle position and getting called by Viacheslav Goryachev in the blinds.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Goryachev check called a continuation bet totalling 18,000 before doing the same for 34,000 when the {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

With the {5-Diamonds} completing the board, Goryachev reached for his chips and slid out 50,000. Little could only smirk as he tossed his cards into the muck.

Goryachev then rolled over his {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the straight which was enough to send Kovtunov home as he tabled his {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for ace-high.
