Seat 7: Mike Watson -- 480,000

Mike Watson
Mike Watson

Mike Watson bagged up the least amount of chips after Day 2, making him the short stack for the final day of play. Even with having just about 10 big blinds to work with to start the day, no one at the table will be wanting to see Watson double up.

With over $6.1 million in live tournament earnings — and already nearly $750,000 this year alone — Watson is one tough cookie on the felt. He's coming off a massive 2012 that saw him win nearly $2.1 million, including two very big scores in large buy-in events.

Watson began Season 9 of the European Poker Tour by making the final table of the EPT Barcelona €50,000 Super High Roller. In that event, he placed third for €399,500. When Watson reached that final table, he had over $3.4 million in live earnings, so you can get an idea of the success he's had since.

Just a few months after his deep run in Barcelona, Watson won the World Series of Poker Europe €50,000 Majestic High Roller for a cool €1 million, and since then it's just been another result month after month.

In January, he placed third in the $25,000 High Roller at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure for $462,320, then won a preliminary event at the Aussie Millions on the other side of the globe that same month. In March, he had two solid scores at EPT London in side events for £55,890 and £44,560.

Needless to say, the Canadian has quite the record in live events. Known to many as "SirWatts," Watson will be looking to turn it on for an electric come back here at the final table.
