Roed Bags Big in Day 1a of PokerStars Eureka Hamburg Main Event
Day 1a of the �1,100 PokerStars Eureka Hamburg Main Event has just concluded here at Casino Schenefeld, Hamburg, with 40 players finding a bag for Day 2 from the 166 entries.
Kent Roed of Norway emerged as the chip leader, amassing an impressive stack of 279,500. Roed was closely followed by Frenchman Gregory Kehren (269,500) and Andrzej Powalka (252,000) of Poland.
Roed boasts live earnings approaching $650,000 and is no stranger to PokerStars events, racking up numerous EPT cashes. Powalka and Kehren are both looking to break the $100,000 mark in recorded cashes here in Hamburg.

The second of three Day 1's will take place at 4:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, July 4 at Casino Schenefeld, following the same structure as today's flight.
