Adrian Mateos opted to raise for all but his last 12,500 chips while in the cutoff. He was called by Christian Rudolph on the button as hand-for-hand play had just commenced. The flop brought and Mateos got the last of it in the middle, Rudolph instantly called.
Adrian Mateos:
Christian Rudolph:
The turn made sure that the kicker would play and the river ended Mateos' run in 10th place.
Stephen Chidwick got his short stack in from the button and clashed with Joao Vieira in the big blind. The Portuguese was ahead by one mere blind heading in the following showdown.
Stephen Chidwick:
Joao Vieira:
The flop provided a gutshot on top of his live card but Chidwick was left with just four outs on the turn. Neither came as the river ended his run in 12th place.
As soon as the bubble burst, the short stacks got their chips in. Among them was also David Peters out of the small blind. He was trailing Mikita Badziakouski in chips and was at a kicker disadvantage as well.
David Peters:
Mikita Badziakouski:
There was no help on the runout and Peters was the first to cash.
Christian Rudolph raised to 44,000 and Mike Watson called on the button. Thomas Muehloecker then jammed for 472,611 out of the small blind and Rudolph let go. Watson gave it some consideration and made the call.
Thomas Muehloecker:
Mike Watson:
The flop gave Muehloecker the nut flush draw on top and the turn provided an additional gutshot. However, it was a case of "too many outs" as the river bricked off to eliminate Muehloecker on the bubble.
The action folded all the way to Mikita Badziakouski in the small blind, who jammed into the big blind of table short stack Michael Addamo. Left with fewer than seven blinds, Addamo called and the cards were turned over.
Michael Addamo:
Mikita Badziakouski:
Both paired up on the flop and Addamo retained his lead throughout the turn and river.
In a limped blind battle, Anatoly Filatov min-bet the flop and then bet the turn for 56,000, both of which David Peters called. Filatov also bet the river for 128,000 and Peters called with to get shown for bottom set.
On the other table, Bert Stevens three-bet jammed into Yuri Dzivielevski, who had raised from under the gun and made the call.
Bert Stevens:
Yuri Dzivielevski:
The board provided both overcards.
Right after the blinds went up and Nick Petrangelo jammed the button, Dzivielevski called out of the big blind.
Yuri Dzivielevski:
Nick Petrangelo:
Petrangelo improved on the flop but the turn gave the Brazilian a flush. Petrangelo had plenty of outs, neither of which came on the river.
