Global Poker x PokerNews Cup Has Officially Reached the Finals
After nearly three weeks of poker action, the Global Poker x PokerNews Cup comes down to Sunday's Finals both for Sweeps Coins (SC) and Gold Coins (GC) participants.
On Saturday afternoon, starting at 2 p.m. PT, the Semifinals began and 72 players — 36 from the GC tournament and 36 from the SC tournament — advanced to the Finals, which kicks off at 2 p.m. PT on Sunday. There were already 18 SC players (plus 18 GC players) who automatically advanced to the finale through winning qualifying round tournaments, and that includes World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner David "RUeTama" Moses.
What's at Stake?
There are epic trophies, swag, gold coins, and sweeps coins up for grabs in the Finals. For the gold coin side, which will award a total of GC 100,000,000, the following is the main prize structure:
