Steve Phillips joined Day 1a after satelliting in earlier in the day. He debated whether to join at the start of level nine and eventually decided to go for it. He was off to a quick start, eliminating two people on one his very first hands. He then won a huge flip with

Despite a great effort, Phillips hit the rail during this last level. He was short stacked and got a couple shoves through, but ran into a hand he could not beat and hits the rail.
