HPT Lawrenceburg Main Event Resumes at 2pm with Day 1b

HPT Lawrenceburg
HPT Lawrenceburg

The first of three starting flights in the Heartland Poker Tour $1,100 Main Event at Casino Hollywood Lawrenceburg took place yesterday and wrapped up with 13 out of 90 players moving on to Day 2. Today, many players will return to the ballroom inside the casino, along with some new entries looking for their shot at the $250,000 guaranteed prizepool.

Reaching the guarantee should be no issue at all, and could happen by the end of the second flight today. After three satellites took place yesterday, there will be three more on the schedule for today as well. As the weekend approaches, the action should heat up and the tournament staff is expecting some big numbers for its first time on the eastern border of Indiana.

Just like the opening flight, everyone will take to the felt with a starting stack of 30,000 chips. The action will get underway at 2pm EST with the blinds starting at 100/100. The blind levels will be 40 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three levels and a big blind ante being introduced at the start of level four.

Players are given the option of unlimited re-entries throughout the registration period. Late registration will remain open until after the dinner break, which takes place after level nine. Should a player happen to bag chips on multiple starting flights, only their biggest stack will be brought forward to Day 2. There will be 15 levels on tap for today unless the 13% threshold is reached first.

Some familiar names to keep an eye out for that failed to bag on Day 1a include Adam Friedman, Jake Bazeley, Greg Raymer, along with many local favorites.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the entire Main Event.
